OOC: All welcome, no more than 2 though please. Check his outfit here.
Seeing Bella a few days ago had been great. She was the last person he expected to run into while at the same time she wasn’t. It was clear that organized meetings just weren’t their thing, and it wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. It meant that when they did bump into one another they were more likely to be themselves, just a little nervous. Nervous on Joseph’s park anyways. But today was a new day and he was sure another run in like that wasn’t bound to happen, at least not until the following week.

He was in the mood for a drink today, which was odd because he’d completely given up alcohol a year or so ago now. He figured one drink wouldn’t do any harm, at least nothing like what happened the last time he was plastered. Now that was a story to be told, even if it wasn’t the most inspiring. “It’s bound to inspire people not to drink and have sex.” Yea, he knew from experience what drunken sex got you: events you couldn’t remember, kids, and woman who hated your guts. That was really all his life consisted of since the virus had stuck havoc worldwide and everyone had been thrown into a state of panic and worry. Who cared if you got someone pregnant right? Well, this guy cared. He wanted to take care of the problem he helped create, but other things happened that ruined any chance of him knowing his son. It had long since passed but he still couldn’t forget it. The images were still fresh in his mind, what he could remember of that night anyways. The scratches and bruises from his fight had come and gone but still, the pain lingered. If only things could work out between him and Callisto, like that they had between him and Maddox and even Amelia. Amelia was a neutral party for the most part though; so long as no one hurt her Maddy everything was fine. Go figure why she’d hated his guts for a while. Maddox had been put through hell, and it was Joseph’s fault. More drama he placed on the wonderful list of shit and screwed up events he had. If anyone had known of these blundering events they would have understood why he needed a drink now. Everything was starting to build inside and he couldn’t withstand the building pressure within.

The wooden door opened and the bell rang quietly. He took a seat on a counter side stool and picked up a napkin, fiddling with it for a few minutes. The bartender came towards him and asked, “What will it be?” and Joseph replied with one word, “Beer.” The bartender must have gotten the hint because he didn’t ask what kind. Joseph just wanted something, anything that could help get his mind off all the wrong he’d done in the past. Everything that had ruined his good name and made him sound more like a backstabbing whore than anything else. Within a minute the man had returned with a fresh cold Bud Light off tap, foam not included. “Thanks,” Joseph said with a tip of his glass as he lifted it to take a drink. Oh the fine taste of piss water; he hadn’t forgotten it, not even for a second. Maybe another glass or two would make the pain in his head, and his heart, go away, even if it was just for the night.

OOC: sorry for the wait <3

He missed going to the bars to sell his drugs. He missed making the money that he made before. The money he was making now, working in the store as a cashier (though he never admits that he works in a normal store) was not the same amount of money that he was getting from selling drugs, that was for damn sure. At one point he thought about going into the Ma'kai because he had heard that they were paid better, but then he REALLY thought about it and then decided that, why the fuck would he do such a thing when he had spent more than 50% of his life fucking over the system. Kevin had been a rebel at heart, and even working for someone else in a store as a cashier was something that bothered him like no end (especially since he hadn't had a job like this since he was like 15 or something like that) and he sometimes wouldn't even show up to work. He was surprised that he hadn't been fired with as many times he hadn't gone in. He probably wasn't needed when those days came around.

Either way, he found himself in this bar tonight, with a glass of Jägermeister. He'd lost count already of how many he had, because he wasn't paying attention, but it had to be like three for four shots. Somewhere around that amount. Kevin would be wandering around the bar for a little bit, finding somewhere else to sit with his drink in his hand, before he would go over t othe pool table and watch the game that people were playing and then, getting distracted by the urge to take a piss. He would put his drink down on a empty table while he went into the bathroom, did his business, washed his hands and dried them before walking back out and picking his drink back up and taking that last shot before he danced his way back over to the bar between the dancing bodies that were everywhere it seemed.

Kevin had finally found his way back tothe bar, where he was quick to take a free seat (that wouldn't be free for long if he didn't take it just then) and he put his shotglass on the counter in front of him. Anoder Jägermeister, bitte. the German offered the order to the bartender before he had finally looked over to his right to see someone that he really wasn't expecting to be here. His eyes narrowed at the other male as he looked at him. Und look at vat die cat barfed up. the male spoke, a giggle emerging from his accented mouth as he looked over to Joseph. Kevin knew the kid. There was no way that Joseph would have the balls to punch him in the face.

He’d sat there for a few minutes in complete silence, aside from the bar noises themselves, and took another swig from the bottle that rested gently in his hand. The dark liquor was a bit abnormal in taste; it’d been half a year since his last real drink. It probably wouldn’t take very many for him to feel a buzz. He wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon, either.

Lifting his hand once more he too the last too drinks of the beer and placed the empty bottle on the counter, motioning for another. In silence he was handed another one, as fresh and cold as the first had been. “Maybe I should do this more often, once a week even. Maybe Maddox wouldn’t mind joining me now and again.” That was something that caused him to think. Would Maddox be cool with drinking still when the baby came? Or would he become a recluse who never left the house and never wanted to do anything, ever? It was hard to tell because everyone responded differently to parenthood. But did Joseph really qualify for that category? He hadn’t really been a parent and he knew Avery wasn’t going to want to see him until he had his act together. “I know he won’t resent me forever…” That’s what the man prayed for each and every day, as well as an explanation as to why he couldn’t find the courage to tell Bella how he felt. It was fear that held him back; what would she think of him if she didn’t feel the same way? Maybe she’d resent him too.

As he dwelled on thoughts that just made him feel absolutely miserable and worthless, an unmistakably familiar voice sounded to his left. Regretfully he turned his head and was greeted with a laughing smirk from the animal beside him. “You couldn’t have shown up at a more convenient time,” he smart assed back, grimacing as he turned his head back to the counter. Kevin Symanski, who was now known as Sikke, was the last person on Earth that Joseph wanted to see. Even considering how much pain she had caused him and all the hurt he went through because of her, Joseph would have preferred a meeting with the one and only Genevieve Denuar over Kevin. Now that he had been thrown into an irritable state, Joseph chugged the entire bottle of beer before looking back at Kevin, and he did so with a slam of the glass against the counter. “You make it sound like you’re so much better than me, you worthless piece of shit.” He remained quiet following his remark, unhappy that he had said it and unhappy that he was now flagging the bartender down so he could begin on his third beer.

OOC: Poh me Anutha by Tech N9NE is what i'm listening to.

It'd definitely been awhile since he had seen the male who was to his right. Kevin was still in a good mood, even though this party pooper was sitting down next to him. The other male was probably wallowing in his own guilt when the other, Kevin, was here to party, to dance and have fun. Wallowing was so... old person-y. Kevin needed to live without regret so he could be happy wherever he ended up in life. If he got too depressed, he knew he would be the type of person to end their own life, so he had promised himself to live without regretting a thing he did. He needed to start to look at the optimistic side, never the pessimistic. He looked at the old Malavita Leader, a grin still on his face at the other had spoken with such a bite. You couldn’t have shown up at a more convenient time the words were heard by the German. Kevin still held a smile on his handsome face as he looked at the green eyed male. I like mein timing actually. I finds it to be rights on time. the other teased at the other male chugged down a beer. Kevin had motioned for another drink. He was served right away and his drink was put down in front of him.

Kevin would let his eyes fall down on the drink before they would go back onto the pissed off Joseph. He could already feel the tenseness of the other male radiating off of the man. Kevin would never be scared of Joseph. No matter what the male said, he never would be scared. Kevin didn't know why he wouldn't, he just had a sense that he was safe from the male weither it be because kevin knew how to defend himself, or because the male, no matter how angry, never would do anything about said anger. Whichever one it was, Kevin knew that he was never going to be scared for his life around this other male. You make it sound like you’re so much better than me, you worthless piece of shit. the male would call him a worthless piece of shit. Kevin would give a hearty chuckle before he would take his shot and then look back at the other male, pupils dilated. Bitte, you're just mad dat I have more balls dhen you. You're all bark und no bite. the male would tease the other, his teeth clicking together audibly as he made a biting gesture with his mouth as he had rolled his eyes and then put a crooked smile on his face.

Kevin would sway a little bit with the music that was going on in the background, his body wanting to dance, but not to this song. His mind wanted to fuck with Joseph and fuck up his night even more than it already was. Maybe this would be the day that the man would fight with Kevin. And then Kevin would be able to show the other male how much better he was than him. So, mein freund. HA!.Ich mean..Hold on a sekunde. the German would speak to the other, a chuckle having found it's way into his speech after he had tried to ask the male a question but trying to act civilized before he could get the question out. He would clear his throat and then look at the other male again. Vho else from Venice ist here, do you know? He had managed to ask the regular question to the man.

OOC: Last post for me, 'cause Joey's too pissed. xD
Being a douche bag was something Kevin did with ease and perfection. He didn’t even have to try to piss people off; it came as naturally at breathing did, and that usually pissed people off more. What was currently irritating Joseph more was the fact that he still held his stupid smile. Joseph just sneered at this remark, ignoring the man as best he could. The last thing he wanted right now was to fight, especially with someone as slimy as Kevin. With his new beer gripped tightly in his hand, he was bound to break the glass. His tension rate had gone up dramatically and he wanted nothing more than to sock the shit out of Kevin right here, right now. But he knew the other man wanted that, and so he wouldn’t lower himself to please someone who wasn’t worth all the trouble. He’d tolerate him for as long as he had to, because he knew Bella thought the world of Kevin as well. That irked him too. Kevin would win in a fist to fist fight. No matter how hard Joseph tried to reconsider with himself, he knew the outcome would probably never change.

A chuckle came from the man once more and Joseph bit his lip so he wouldn’t say anything. Tonight was supposed to a night of relaxation and thought process. Obviously he wasn’t going to be granted such pleasure. To his surprise, though he really shouldn’t have been, Kevin made a biting noise with his teeth. This caused Joseph’s head turned slowly, eye closed slightly in anger. “The only reason I won’t hit you is because I know I’m better than that,” he spat back, “and I’m better than you.” His words were spoken with such malice that they tasted dirty. Last time he’d gotten this angry was with Cali. Thankfully Kevin was not a woman and he didn’t want to even consider touching the filthy man. So he knew nothing like last time would happen now. “Thank fucking God,” he thought with some relief, taking a deep breath as his head turned back to the counter. Exhaling, Joseph brought the glass neck up to his mouth once more, taking a sip this time instead of a gulp. He needed to watch himself, pace his intake. If he wasn’t careful he’d be drunk in no time and it’d be because of his anger issues. And it’d be because of Kevin; that didn’t count as a proper excuse though. Kevin wouldn’t have been the one pouring the liquid down his throat, though the man knew he’d do so if he had the change.

The music in the background was irritatingly loud, and it had a terrible beat. Maybe this was a bad idea after all. Maybe he should have just stayed home and watched some stupid ass movie instead. So many maybes came to mind, but none of them matter. Maybe wasn’t going to do anything in the long run; he’d already fucked himself over by trying to have a good time. It was probably because he dwelled so much on the wrong in his life, but he had more than his fair share of drama and disappointing outcomes. So much so that his life had become more like a soap opera or a television show with all the twists and turns it’d taken, and now this! Being the company of the one man he hated most in this world. Genevieve was a saint compared to this man, and she’d done some nasty ass shit in her time. Keeping himself calm in this situation wasn’t going to be easy, but he figured putting his mind elsewhere, like on taking deep breaths as he drank his beer, would help him in some way. In the background of the surrounding sounds he heard Kevin speak again, this time pausing in between his sentences with a laugh.

Something about snapped in Joseph’s head. Something so deadly that not even Kevin could have stopped him. But he held himself back and closed his eyes, taking several long, deep breaths before completely rotating to look Kevin eye to eye. “You make it sounds like you actually care. We both know you could give a shit less, and that makes me not want to answer your question all the more.” Standing up, he removed his wallet from his back pocket and took a few bills out. Setting the money on the counter, the bartender came over. “Keep it,” Joseph said, and the man nodded, walking away once more. “Take care Kevin. God knows I’d hate to see something bad happen to you,” he said with sarcasm tracing each word. Without another sound the man grabbed his beer, grumbling under his breath, and removed himself from the situation altogether. The cool air from outside felt refreshing, and he finished the beer before throwing the bottle into the trashcan right outside the door.

OOC: <3 shortie thread.

The only reason I won’t hit you is because I know I’m better than that, and I’m better than you. of course, the other would say that he was better than Kevin. They both had a thing going on to where they both thought that they were the better than the other. Kevin was quick to chuckle lightly. Nuh, Ich dhink nicht kleiner Mann. the male spoke, a wide smile on his face as he let out another chuckle. Shalls ve count die dhings dat I'm better at agains? the male would ask, his mind coming up with things that Kevin was definitely better at than the male, but not really going to to list any of them because he wanted the other to retaliate and make a good argument. There was a lot of pent up anger in the man. Eventually the other would burst with anger and do something completely stupid. It was always how it was. This was why Kevin would let people know when he was angry, and if it made a scene then so be it. The one thing he wasn't gonna do was hit someone first, but he would get loud and snappy when he was angry. Again, if they made it a scene then it was a fight. He wouldn't back down in what he believed in.

The other would drink a few sips before he went to speak again. It was something about how Kevin didn't give a rat's ass about anything. A instant frown was put on the face of the male and then he let his hazel eyes narrow on the other male. Fuck you Joseph. You don't know vat I care abouts. the voice of the German would become on the gruff side, but he would realize that Joseph was preparing to leave. He took some money out of his wallet and gave it to the tender and then told him to keep it. Kevin was silent during the transaction. Joseph would speak again. Kevin watched the male's lips as he spoke, and ran his top teeth over his bottom lip for a minute. Once the man was done speaking, Kevin chuckled lightly. Make sure you use dhat anger carefully, du mights forgets vho you are if you loose control, mein freund! he called out to the male as he took his shot and then got up and went towards the dance floor. Oh yuh, und I'll see ya later. the male spoke, chuckling softly, looking as the male moved his way to the door and then eventually moving out of the door and to wherever he decided to go. The man would then, like the party boy he was, go out on the dance floor and have a good time out there, dancing with whoever would dance with him.
